WordPress Wins CMS Award 2009!

Last when I started working as a freelance designer, a couple of my clients repeatedly objected whenever I mentioned wordpress as a CMS. Not just a CMS, but actually a powerful CMS. Have a look at my post entitled “a beast inside and a beauty out”… While I understand why they said that then, I highly doubt they understand too what we had at hand, but that’s not point of the post either.
My hats out to the wordpress team because it is now official that wordpress is actually the world’s best open source CMS as presented at the 2009 Open Source CMS Awards today, November 18th 2009!

Joomla is ok. I think it’s a bit too much for the average website owner and I think it’s packed with a lot of unnecessary codes both for the backend and the front end. I work with both wordpress and joomla on a regular basis, but they (joomla) surely try too.
